Certified Specimen Collector (CSC)
Designed for the Canadian drug testing industry, this program covers all aspects of collecting, processing, and interpreting results from urine, oral fluid, and hair specimens. While focusing on collection procedures, chain of custody, and point-of-care testing using in-vitro diagnostic devices, the CSC course certifies you to work within any Canadian drug testing program.
Certified DOT Specimen Collector (CDSC) DOT Compliant
The US DOT (United States Department of Transportation) Certified DOT Specimen Collection (CDSC) course certifies you to work within a Federally regulated US DOT drug testing program. This in-depth study of the Department of Transportation’s rules and regulations regarding workplace drug testing complements our CSC course and provides you with an all-round understanding how to perform US regulated drug testing in Canada.
Screening Test Technician (STT) DOT Compliant
This course covers all aspects of alcohol screening. Compliant with the requirements of the US DOT (United States Department of Transportation), this course reviews all policies, regulations, and procedures regarding alcohol screening. This course covers the procedures for both breath and oral fluid screening.
Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) DOT Compliant
The Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) course complies with all the requirements of the US DOT (United States Department of Transportation) and includes training for both alcohol screening and confirmation testing procedures. Compliant with the requirements of the DOT, this course reviews all policies, regulations, and procedures regarding alcohol screening. This course covers the procedures for both breath and oral fluid screening.
Designated Employer Representative (DER) DOT Compliant
This course covers all aspects of the roles, responsibilities, and functions of a Designated Employer Representative (DER). After completing the course you will have a full understanding of the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) rules and regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing as well as be able to effectively act as the DER for your employer or company.
Supervisor Awareness Training (SAT)
This course meets all of the requirements of supervisor awareness training and includes 1 hour of drug and 1 hour of alcohol awareness training.
DATAC’s self-led online SAT certification program covers all requirements of a federally-regulated U.S. DOT drug testing program but is applicable to Canadian workplaces as well.

FMCSA Clearinghouse Course (FREE)
Are you prepared to start using the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA) Clearinghouse database? Well, the Drug and Alcohol Testing Association of Canada (DATAC) is here to show you the way! We are providing an online course to help you figure out exactly what the Clearinghouse is, and what you are supposed to do with it; whether you are a TPA, an employer, an MRO or a commercial driver.
Certified DOT Specimen Collector (CDSC) – Oral Fluid Specialization
DATAC’s self-led online certification program covers all aspects required of a federally-regulated United States Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing program for oral fluid. This course is an add-on to the Certified DOT Specimen Collector (CDSC) course and the CDSC, or equivalent DOT urine collection certification, is a prerequisite for this oral fluid specialization course.
Advanced Hair and Nail Collection Course
This course will give you all of the knowledge you need to confidently collect both hair and nail specimens for testing. It includes pertinent information about the science behind the testing as well how to handle special collection scenarios.
