Myofunctional therapy tongue thrust exercises for tongue thrust aim to retrain the tongue’s positioning and function during swallowing and rest. Here are some examples of myofunctional therapy exercises for tongue thrust:

Tongue resting position: Place the tip of your tongue behind your front teeth and keep your lips together. Try to keep your tongue in this position for as long as possible.

    Tongue strengthening exercises:
Place the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth and push up with gentle pressure.
Hold for a few seconds and release.
    Repeat this exercise 10-15 times.

Swallowing exercises: Practice swallowing without using your tongue. To do this, place a small amount of water in your mouth and then swallow while keeping your tongue behind your front teeth.
