The most bizarre story I have from my work as a collector is a donor trying to pass of fake toenails as their own. The donor had glued someone else’s toenails to their own toes, and was aghast that I would not accept those. He really felt he was going to convince me that the glued on nails were his own, and take them for testing. He was mistaken. There was no test that day, and it was just so strange to me that he felt that they would have passed off as his own. I mean, there was a GLUE LINE!!
